ACHIEVES ADVANCED SECONDARY VALIDATION FROM SAI GLOBAL AND ALTERNATE SOLUTION APPROVAL BY COUNCILS

It is now just over a month since the AES was presented to the Principal Plumbing Inspectors meeting in Gympie. We have now conducted presentation and certification to 12 local Authorities and conducted training and certification for over 100 plumbers and designers from Mackay to the Gold Coast.

Now that we have an understanding and clarification of the Alternate Solution process required for the AES to be approved for use by Local Authorities the interest in the AES has been amazing. Our belief that there is a need for an innovative product that provides an Advanced Secondary Solution without the complexity and ongoing cost of current systems in the market place has been validated.

Last week I conducted presentation and training from Mackay south. This also brought to light the need to provide online training for AES certification as soon as possible. Within 2 hrs of completing the training session at Mackay for plumbers and designers I had 3 calls requesting to attend training plus 2 designers that could not make training due to work commitments. By this time I was already 1 hr down the road towards Rockhampton.

To assist these Plumbers and other more remote plumbers and drainers we will be concentrating over the next fortnight on getting the AES Basic Serial System Design and Installation training online.

Also due to the high level of enquiry for the AES we may have to follow the design trail and endeavour to provide AES presentations to Councils and plumbing inspectors as soon as we can, prior to designs being lodged. (We will be able to do this as we receive the AES calculator for review and sign off at the design stage well before the design is lodge with Councils.)

We are currently planning to visit Towoomba and Dalby etc. and training in Redland, Logan Areas.

200,000 litre per day system design

A preliminary design alternative to a conventional sewerage treatment plant able to handle 200,000 litres per day has been costed and submitted with savings in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. An ongoing cost analysis is also being conducted to establish the savings in operation and maintenance cost. This facility can experience load variations of over 150,000 litres per day which is easily handled by the Advanced Enviro-septic. The waste water treatment and clarification in the AES system pipes would then be sterilised to a standard of A+

TAFE QLD

Neville Bullock, Principal Trainer at the Acacia Ridge Technical Skills Institute has also completed certification and samples of the AES are being provided for Neville to include in his on-site training course. (Neville’s Students will still need to successfully complete the AES on-line Certification course)

SEQ WATER

An AES Presentation to SEQ water was conducted earlier this month and we are liasing with them to see how the AES can be accommodated with-in their guidelines.

AES RECOMMENDED VIDEO

WATCH THIS SHORT VIDEO

This is a great video of AES testing done by a university and shows the level of testing and how it is conducted as well as the quality of effluent produced by the AES compared to a conventional pipe and stone system.

Approx 8 mins long.

AES 4400 SEPTIC DUO

Finally our combined septic and pump out tank is available. This tank has been developed as a result of issues raised during training in Bundaberg, Harvey Bay, Mackay and Rockhampton.

The AES 4400 Septic Duo is a 4400 Litre septic tank that can be used as a gravity system with the internal chamber acting as a second settlement tank or as a 200 Litre incorporated pump well for pressurised distribution to the land application area.
With the optional riser, an invert level of up to one meter can be achieved. All connections to the AES 4400 Duo are o-ring joints.

The AES will provide much greater integrity and cost advantages at installation by not requiring a separate pump well or septic tank risers and will be much more effective at preventing ground water ingress into the land disposal area via the riser rings etc.

AES Flow Equaliser

We have a number of designs that will require distribution boxes for multiple AES beds in the one system. To assist equalisation of the effluent load into both beds the Flow Equaliser allows a simple adjustment by turning an adjustment knob. The flow equaliser simply pushes into the 100mm outlets pipes from the distribution box.
